The Embarrassment - 2022 Reunion Sept. 30, 2022
I’ve been a fan of The Embarrassment since of first heard them on their “Heyday” comp. Then “Blister Pop” came out and the Trouser Press Record Guide told me about Big Dipper, which also featured Bill Groffier on guitar, vocals and songwriting, but I digress.
The documentary (“We Were Famous, Don’t You Remember? The Embarrassment”) that premiered the same day/same event as the concert (Sept. 30, 2022) was a long time coming. Bill G had told me about the potential documentary that had been shelved years ago. When I saw that it was finally finished and coming out, I wanted to do something special for the band. Bill and I chatted and quickly brainstormed using the theater and possibly “The Blob” in the design (Bill saw The Bolb at that theater as a kid) and I got to work. I did the design and layouts and Brian Walsby drew them from that. It was a big thrill to do something for this band. They are so far from their rightful place in American music history. Hopefully the documentary will help spread the word about how great they were and still are today. Thanks to the band and Bill for believing in us. Specs are below.
thanks for looking,
